A somber mood filled the changing room as a rag tag collection of 2nd xv men assembled.

With both teams at home gave the 2nds a chance to stand and look as the 1st xv warmed up before joining them for a few team run through. Then up to the Ribb pitch for the tasty clash of Ormskirk 2s.
A few lost spectators mistakenly thinking it was the 1s some even stayed till the final whistle.

Ormskirk were the first to cross the white wash and quickly 17 -0 up. The troops rallied & the older heavier Clitheroe pack rallied winning set pieces allowing first Stu Railton and then debutant Buckley Davies crossing the line.
12-17 at the half. Ormskirk ram wild in the second half 12-55 before once more the forwards rallied.
Forrest Winstanley, then Tom Whittaker and also skipper Kirk Kenyon smashing their way across the whitewash. With some extras 31-55 was the final score.

Special mentions to Austin Wensley and Nick Good coming off the pitch to go give the 1s some sort of bench and both coming back for the last ten mins to give the old boys a breather. Quality work lads!

Ormskirk gave both Tom Whittaker and Ralph Rigby [out of sympathy] player of the match.
