We're recruiting for a new Head Coach for our exciting women's side

Head Coach – Valley Vixens, Clitheroe RUFC

Are you passionate about rugby and ready to lead a dynamic and ambitious team?

After a fantastic debut season in NC3, the Valley Vixens are looking for an inspiring and driven Head Coach to build on their success and take them to the next level.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a Head Coach or Player-Coach who can bring leadership, strategy, and passion to our growing women’s team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Player Leadership & Development – nurture and advance player skills, fitness, and game awareness.
  • Coach Development – mentor and support coaches to strengthen the overall rugby program.
  • Match Preparation & Management – develop tactics, game plans, and ensure players are match-ready.
  • Recruitment & Community Engagement – expand player participation and promote women’s rugby locally.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • RFU Level 2 or higher coaching certification.
  • Proven experience in coaching women’s rugby, with a track record of player development.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture

Founded in 1977, Clitheroe RUFC is a community-driven club with a rich rugby tradition, located in the heart of the Ribble Valley. The Valley Vixens had an outstanding first season in 2024-25, finishing 4th in the league. The club is dedicated to supporting players and coaches to reach their full potential—on and off the pitch.
