This weekend we have a double header at home, with both Fleetwood 1s + 2s making the trip inland.
The 2's were originally slated to be away at the seaside but the lads at Fleetwood had a brainstorm and requested a switch of venue. Perhaps they fancied a trip up Pendle or to sample some of our excellent ale ? But either way - fair play boys!
Fleetwood 1s after an early season stutter, are in great form, winning their last four games putting themselves 4th in the table.
Clitheroe have been patchy so far but it will be an excellent opportunity for them to hit their straps this Saturday - last season we managed to do the double over the men in green, so [recent] history is on our side. Could be interesting....
Kick off is 2.15pm and our man in the middle with the whistle, making his first trip to Silcock Park [i think] is Mr Martin Blythe from the Manchester Society.
Meanwhile the 2's host Fleetwood 2s up on the Ribblesdale Pitch.
Fleet are going great guns in the league currently in second place. Clitheroe have had a stop start season so far and have had some near misses but have yet to break their duck. Hopefully this Saturday!!
Again 2.15ko and our referee is none other than Mr Howard Lawrence from MADREFS
A warm welcome to all our visitors to Silcock Park this Saturday.
Special mention to Nathan Walton who sustained a nasty injury last week at Aspull in his first game back in about five years - get well soon Nathan!
