Colts at Littlemoor on Sunday

Both Clitheroe senior teams travel away from the Ribble Valley this week – the 1sts going south on the M6 to Warrington based side Eagle RUFC; whilst the 2's turn right at the Tickled Trout and head over to Thornton Cleveleys to play their 2nds.

Star billing then on Sunday for the Junior Colts, hosting Wirral Colts (12.30)

Eagle RFC is one of the more tricky places to visit. Deep in Rugby League territory they always have a good team of footballers willing to run it from all over the park.
They have a decent set up these days, they were formed as a works side back in the 1960's and whilst many of the like have fallen by the wayside, Eagle are in good shape.
Cltheroe travel of the back of a workmanlike win last week, but know those missed half chances have to be converted into points, in this league, to stand any chance of being in the mix. Try bonus points may prove crucial to finish in the top half come the new year.

The 2's were kicking their heels last week with a waterlogged pitch, but are looking forward to facing to a trip near the coast again.
Thornton have been going great guns over the last few seasons and have recruited well and are a strong outfit on their home turf.
However the Littlemoor men have a few lads returning from injury and holidays so will look forward to representing the Club.

On Sunday the Colts face Wirral colts at Littlemoor.
Both teams are mid table at this early stage of the season – both W1 & L1 so it will be an intriguing game.
Kick off is 12.30 and our referee is Mr Neil Banwell from the Manchester Society

We hope all our visitors enjoy their afternoon in the Ribble Valley - hopefully the sun will be shining - so get down and support the lads.
