Clitheroe RUFC is thrilled to welcome Backhouse Insurance Brokers as a new club sponsor, following a generous donation of branded dry robes for every member of our Under 9/10s squad.

The robes were presented at Silcock Park by Bill Backhouse himself, who took a moment on the day to personally hand one to Under 9/10s head coach Jack Spees — with Jack's son proudly wearing his new kit for the occasion.

Dry robes have become an essential piece of kit at junior rugby clubs across the country, keeping young players comfortable in the often-bracing conditions of a Lancashire touchline. Thanks to Backhouse Insurance Brokers, our Under 9/10s are now fully equipped — and looking the part.

Coach Jack Spees expressed his gratitude on behalf of the whole squad: "It's fantastic to have a local business investing in the next generation of rugby players like this. The kids are absolutely delighted with them — and the parents are pretty pleased too!"
