Clitheroe Valley Vixens took to the road on Sunday 22nd September and made the trip up the M62 over to the wrong side of Pennines ? to visit Ossett Women
Whilst the weather was wet again, the welcome from Ossett team was warm.
The Vixens struggled in the first 10 minutes to find their rhythm but soon got into the match and organised the pack. Ossett scored 3 tries in the first half but without a resolute Vixens defence, it could have been more.
The second half started with Ossett scoring again, but with some amazing resilience the Vixens dug deep and scored 2 tries, both scored by Jess Portas sponsored by Voice It Podcast Agency. Ossett came back with a further 2 tries and one conversion.
Into the last 5 minutes of the game and a super try by Emma Graham sponsored by I Cycle Electric ably assisted by Charlie Rushton sponsored by the The Milking Parlour and a conversion kicked by Jess Portas made the final score 27-17
The Vixens player of the match Jess Sadler sponsored by Jacqueline's Homemade Chocolates & Sweet Treats

Not forgetting the 3 North Ribblesdale RUFC Women’s Section women who put on a Clitheroe shirt today due to their match being cancelled. Harriet, Kate & Tash your knowledge and experience was invaluable.
