Both Clitheroe senior teams are in scheduled action this Saturday, weather permitting!
The 1st XV travel to Ashton under Lyne while the 2nd XV host Leigh 3s at Littlemoor.
Ashton are not having the best of seasons but seemed to have turned the corner after an excellent win at Bury last weekend. Whereas Clitheroe , who have slipped out of the important top four, have struggled to rediscover their early season form when they put Ashton to the sword on their own paddock in September.
However with the crippling injury list beginning to ease and a larger pool of players to pick from the confidence is slowly but surely returning for skipper Will Dickenson's men and a top performance is expected.
Meanwhile the 2's are welcoming Leigh to Littlemoor and hope to maintain their mini climb of the foot of the table of Div 4N.
Skipper Jamie Taylor returns after injury to take his place in a useful looking squad.
Both games kick off at 2:15pm and support is welcome home or away.
On Sunday the Colts travel to Eccles for a 12:30 kick off.
After some superb performances over the last few weeks this is sure to be a test for the team, but one that they can definitely rise to.
This season has been the making of this group of players and the regular weekly fixtures have helped their rapid development. There will surely be some further bumps in the road but the curve is most certainly upward as the lads progress further in their rugby careers.
