Clitheroe RUFC are pleased to announce the appointment of James "Bicky" Dickinson as 1st XV Captain for the 2019/20 season. Bicky has been a first team regular since 2008 and has become a well respected member of the playing group, playing first of all in the back line then latterly in the back row. He will be ably assisted in his role by James Cathcart who has been appointed as 1st XV Vice-Captain.

Head coach Ross Chamberlain explained "we're really pleased that both players have accepted these leadership positions in what is an exciting time for the club and we're now looking forward to working closely together throughout what we intend will be a successful season." Dave Watson added, "the Playing Committee have worked tirelessly through the off season to plan what they can for the year ahead and as well as wishing both Bicky & Cathers an enjoyable and successful season at the helm, we will continue to support them as they lead this fantastic group of lads who make up our 1st XV squad".

The 1st XV travel to Manchester Medics this Saturday in their first league fixture of the 19/20 season whilst the 2nd XV entertain Fylde 4ths at home, Kick off for both games being 3pm, Saturday.
