Two big games at Littlemoor

Two big games at Littlemoor this weekend for both the Seniors and the Colts.

This Saturday we welcome Bury to face the 1st XV and on Sunday it is Burnley U17 Colts who are the visitors.

Bury make the shortish trip the the motorway for the return match from the beginning of November. In that game Clitheroe started brightly but fell away somewhat frustratingly in the second half.
Bury, like Clitheroe, have not tasted victory since that game and are just one place below the town team in the table.
It all means that a win on Saturday is vital to keep in touch with the top half of the table to be in the mix for the mid season shakedown of fixtures.
There were good signs last week of the team regaining in confidence and beginning to put the bits and pieces together. The first game of the new year on our own paddock must be an advantage as would plenty of positive enthusiastic and passionate support on the touch line.
Kick off is 2:15pm. Obviously the bar is open to all for a lovely pint of Hen Harrier

The 2's meanwhile are on the road making the trip up to Hawcoat Park, once known as Vickers RFC - originally the works team from the shipyards at Barrow. They have a super set up there and the trip out is definitely worth a beer or two on the way home!

On Sunday the Colts have an intriguing game against Burnley colts at Littlemoor.
Anyone who made the effort to the away fixture before Christmas had a treat. A see saw game that could have gone either way and a tremendous advertisement of Colts rugby.
Obviously it helped that we won, but both teams contributed mightily.
Kick off is 12:30pm - come down and watch the future 1st XVers !
