This weekend the 1st XV are at home , welcoming Ormskirk to Littlemoor for the second time this season.
Having played them away at their Green Lane ground in early October, coming away with a very creditable, they succumbed uncharacteristically meekly in a cup game at Clitheroe a few short weeks later.
So part three of the stanza gives the maroons a chance of redemption on their own paddock.
It should be blood and thunder all the way for skipper Will Dickenson's charges on what will certainly be softish going.
Kick off is at 2.15pm and our referee from the Manchester Society is no stranger to Clitheroe Mr Steve Dobbin.

The 2's meanwhile make the quickish journey down to play the other maroon and golds, Sedgely Park, in what could be a close affair.

I'm sure the Chrimbo jumpers will make an appearance in the bar afterwards accompanying a mulled wine or egg nog!

On Sunday the Colts host Wirral colts in their last game of 2017.
