1st XV at Littlemoor, 2nds on the road again

This Saturday sees the 1st XV play their last home game of the season welcoming local rivals Burnley from over the hill.

The maroons will be keen to complete the second season consecutively going undefeated on their Littlemoor pitch.
Though the visitors will be doughty opposition, and will want to revenge their early season reverse, when Clitheroe came away from Holden Road with the spoils 17-32; which included tries from Lewis Hardman, Chris Stewart, Martin Lafranceschina and Dave Seed.

Burnley are 10th in 3N and seem a bit too close for comfort to the relegation zone, but this is a movable line sometimes and there is probably going to be some shuffling about of teams as usual in time for next season.

Our referee is Mr Alasdair Boyle, from the Manchester Society, who seems to at our club more often than some players this season
We welcome Alasdair, the Burnley players and staff and all supporters for a 3pm kick off.
The usual bar refreshments will be available :-)

Meanwhile the 2's make the trip to Sedgley Park to play their 4ths in which is the maroons final away trip of this season.
Sedge (who also play in maroon & gold!) are in a comfortable 5th place in the league 4N, and have had a win some - loose some sort of season but Clitheroe will be striving hard to avenge the opening day defeat by Park 0-20 at Littlemoor., and they should be buoyed by last weeks excellent performance.
