This weekend the 1st XV grace the Littlemoor paddock for the first time in 2017, welcoming Thornton Cleveleys 2s. (2:15pm ko)
After a grand victory last week they will be desperate to show the home faithful fans some entertaining rugby. A sticky pitch may play its part in proceedings however.
In the October game at Thornton , a rather scrappy affair saw Clitheroe prevail by 14-25, which included tries from Lewis Hardman, Darren Eagle and skipper Richard Few. Nathan Peel had his kicking boots on with five successful shots.

Meanwhile the 2's travel the shortish distance to Marl Pits, home of Rossendale RFC, to play their 3rds. Illness and work commitments have drastically changed the line up from last week but they will still travel with a decent squad.
After a good home win in the corresponding fixture they'll be keen on a possible 'double'. . A tough ask, but do-able.
