For Clitheroe this is their second finals day appearance in as many years. When last season they were runners up to a strong Liverpool Veterinarians side who, had not only gained promotion - they have cut a swath through the Div 2S and are promoted again.

Clitheroe therefore have the crucial edge of cup final experiance to fall back on plus they are playing 'known' opposition as Penrith are in the same division as ourselves.
So there is a strong look to the squad, with a good bench plus some travelling reserves..just in case.
However, you have to feel for the lads injured out of contention for selection; Dave Seed, Lewis Hardman, Chris Stewart, Luke Hayton and once again the 1st XV Captain Richard Few - all would surely be in the mix for the finals party.
A dry surface must be almost guaranteed tomorrow so were looking forward to an entertaining game to keep the two bus loads of supporters in full voice on the side lines.
