Just the one game this Saturdays as the 2's intended opponent's , Garstang, pitch resembled a boating lake. So the result went to the 'pools panel'. Unfortunately the wise heads decided a 5-0 loss against us. Ho hum.

The 1st XV hosted Birchfield at Silcock Park, which in spite of the atrocious weather, proved reasonably firm[ish]. A far cry from the old days of resembling a sago pudding at this time of year.
Clitheroe were too good for Birchfield who, admittedly , were not as strong as they were at their place. But a 50-21 win was comfortable enough.
The maroons maintain the top spot in ADM Counties 4, a point above Ashton, who had a good win over Blackpool.
So 6 games left in the regular league season and all to play for.
