1st XV on road trip, 2nd XV at Littlemoor

Both the senior XV's are in league action this Saturday

The 1sts make the trip down to Liverpool St Helens RUFC for the first time in a competitive fixture.
LSH have a few years on Clitheroe being formed in 1857, and in so being the worlds oldest rugby club. It puts Clitheroe's 40 seasons seem quite paltry !
As you might expect from such a club with such a long history many internationals have graced their colours, flying wingers Nigel Heslop and Mike Slemen, scrum half Dewi Morris and legendary prop Fran Cotton are amongst many names who've played for England.
Their President is the well known dual code international Ray French.
In the game at Littlemoor in October the maroons eventually eased to a fairly comfortable win but the game was close up to the hour mark, so on their own paddock Clitheroe are expecting a tough afternoons shift to gain a result.

The 2s take to the Littlemoor paddock, welcoming Barrow based side Hawcoat Park 2's.
The maroons made the longish trip north back in the beginning of October returning home empty handed after an exciting 44-34 reverse.
An open running game is on the cards if the weather behaves!
Kick off is at 2:15pm and as always refreshments will be available throughout.
Our referee is Mr Gary Stanley from the Manchester Society.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to Littlemoor on Saturday.
