Another good one, in spite of the weather

The wet weather did nothing to dampen spirits on the traditional end of season Presidents Day.
Plenty of folk were on hand to watch the U14's play a curtain raiser match in the newish Xrugby 7's format.
Some great skills on show from the lads and after a great 18-19 season look to go on to next year with confidence.
The main match that followed was up to the usual high scoring standards of seasons past ; both teams getting 30 something a piece.
The scores not too relevant but a touch open game and a treat to watch.
Thanks once again for Sandy Woods to referee us - book the day for next year!

The revelry continued in the clubhouse with the President himself dishing out the prizes.

Dave Watson was on hand to lift the Nick Hopwood Trophy for the winning team.
Whilst Will Tattersall was awarded the Bob Howarth Man of the Match award and Danny Cowgill the Man of the match for the Chairmans XV.
Well done lads

The Silcock Spirit of Rugby Trophy was awarded to Christopher Barraclough [pic : recieving the cup from the Pres.]
Chris is standing down from the Chair of Junior Rugby after a number of years [and hours!] of unstinting graft to promote junior rugby at Clitheroe . Well done Christopher.

Onwards to the Annual Dinner............
